Trail Day – Saturday, Aug. 3 at 2 pm

Hi All,

Let’s rally at Tarr’s field at 2 pm.  Given the Member’s meeting and boater safety class, work will start after lunch. If you have tools to carry, they can be dropped in Seabourne’s golf cart outside the Yacht Club from 9 am until 1:30 pm and picked up at Tarr’s field at 2 pm.  We will be working at the Apple Orchard, so come join us. There are jobs for all ages, skills, and abilities.

Looking forward!

Kevin

Weekend Events

An ice cream social will be held this Friday in front of the Playhouse from 3:45 – 5:00.
Bring your own bowl and toppings to share.

We are looking for volunteers to help clean up after the chowder picnic. There is always a large crew of early morning helpers but we’d like to have a few more people help at the end.  Clean up is right after the picnic (putting away food, tables, etc), around 1 pm.

If you are planning to come to your usual 9 am shift (choppers and peelers) or 10 am shift (stirrers and set-up) or would like to join one of the three shifts (9am, 10 am, 1 pm), we look forward to seeing you!

See you at the picnic on the 17th,
Becky, Heather, Cathy, Holly & Henny

We will have Evensong this Sunday, August 18th, at 5:30pm at The Chapel.  There will be no 9:30am service.

Maine Maritime Museum touring vessel

Patten Free Library

Thanks to a grant from the Merrymeeting Bay Trust, the Children’s Room is offering two free educational cruises on the Maine Maritime Museum touring vessel this summer. The cruises are for families with children ages five to 12, and will focus on the wildlife of Merrymeeting Bay. For more information on this great opportunity and how to register, click here.

What better way to enjoy summer, Maine wildlife, and the beauty of our towns than by boat?
