The book of Genesis tells us:  “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” (Genesis 2:2).  So, it seems a fitting day that if God is resting, so should we all!   But really, what better way to celebrate Cam Seymour’s departure and Ultimate Rest from Island Work than on Sunday July 31, 2011.

Please join the Island Community on Sunday, July 31 @ 6:00pm in the Yacht Club for BYOB cocktails and hors d-ouvres celebrating the good work and friendship that Cam Seymour has provided our community.  We’ll raise our glasses at sundown with Cannon Fire and Merriment.
And from a lesser known passage of the Good Book: 
“Cam, a servant of Peter and of the SICO Board, To the many cottages of the Island: Greetings. Count it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness and smelly clothing. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing and ultimately, sweet of fragrance.” (MacMahan 12:3-5)
